THIMUN Singapore

The THIMUN Singapore conference is a five-day simulation of the United Nations for secondary school students, which takes place in the second half of November each year in Singapore. THIMUN Singapore was established in 2004 as a sister conference to THIMUN (The Hague Model United Nations) and is a part of the THIMUN Foundation.

It has taken place since the very first conference in the prestigious Hwa Chong Institution, and students and staff from the school have supported the conference in many different roles. As well as the full range of committees, including the Human Rights Council and ECOSOC,  the conference has its own newspaper, Munity East.

November 14th – 18th 2022 THIMUN Singapore will be held as an Online event.

The next physical THIMUN Singapore conference will take place in November 2023 at the Hwa Chong Institution, Singapore.

The 3rd THIMUN Singapore ONLINE
14 – 18 November 2022

The developments of the continued pandemic and the success of our first and second THIMUN Singapore Online, has made it even more important for us to continue to create a forum for young people to come together and critically view the issues facing the world around them. Although, we will not be meeting in person, we will be offering an online THIMUN conference with the same expertise and high quality that our participating schools have come to know for so many years.

The conference will offer students the chance to lobby, debate and vote on resolutions covering a vast array of topics. Guest speakers and panel discussions will round out the THIMUN Singapore week.

NEXT conference will be online

Delegates will be divided into different forums including ECOSOC, Human Rights, Youth and Health and Security Council. In addition, there will be a Student Officer team and a MUNITY Press team to which all participating students are welcome to apply.

All schools that have already participated in a THIMUN Singapore Conference in 2021 will automatically receive invitations to register for THIMUN Singapore Online 2022.

If you are a school which has not taken part in THIMUN Singapore  but are interested in joining our Online Conference, we invite you to contact us via email at

The MUNIS registration application has been created as part of an effort by the THIMUN Foundation to streamline and digitalise the exchange of information between it and its customers. MUNIS has become a success and several affiliated conferences are now also organized through it. All teachers registered in our system will have access to the MUNIS application through a username and password.

It provides you with a modern and more robust way to handle the registration details, such as the submission of your registration form (FORM I) and FORM II. For some conferences, it will also include the possibility to add badge photos and register for the visa application assistance service, as well as allow you to review your statement of account and print invoices.
